World Bible School is an extraordinary way for a Christian to teach the word of God to the lost while working from the comfort of their own homes. You do not have to go to a distant land to be an effective missionary for Christ. Through WBS our Lord can easily use your talents to lead lost souls to the kingdom of God. The Portland Church of Christ has Christian men and women of all ages, along with our teenagers, eagerly teaching the truths of Christianity to non-Christians worldwide. We eagerly mail each student their WBS lessons and grade them when they are returned, adding words of encouragement and prayer along the way. When they finish their assigned course the students are sent a certificate of completion and again invited to attend the local Church of Christ in their country. We pray for each of our students with the hope they will be baptized into Christ at the completion of their studies. The personal satisfaction and spiritual delight of leading a soul to Christ is the reward of a faithful WBS teacher.

For decades WBS has impacted the souls of tens of thousands from around the world. The blessing of studying the Bible, with a teacher, at such a nominal cost to the student is incredible in our day. Our teachers grow in faith and love while leading a person to the knowledge of Christ they would not have otherwise known. The motivation of our teachers is the opportunity to go into all the world teaching the Gospel.

The Portland Church of Christ has participated in World Bible School for many years. We are thankful for the opportunity to teach Gods word to hundreds of students around the world. The door of opportunity at WBS has spread to 179 countries with enrolment from 141 countries at the latest count. We Love and appreciate all our teachers hard work and dedication.
