The Potter Children's Home is located in Bowling Green, Kentucky and is dedicated to deliver God's justice and mercy to children and families in need with the help of supporting churches of Christ and individual Christians.

In 1901 a piece of property and $11,000 was donated to begin construction of Potter Bible College. It was founded by Bro. and Sis. Clinton C. Potter and was dedicated to the memory of their son Eldon S. Potter. The College was under the leadership of Bro. James A. Harding who served as its president and provided Christian education for eleven years.

Upon the closure of Potter Bible College in 1914 Bro. and Sis. Clinton C. Potter decided to deed the 87 acre campus to a Board of Trustees to govern a home for homeless children and to be renamed Potter's Orphan Home and School. It began its operations in 1915.

Bro. W.L. Karnes, a former minister of Portland Church of Christ served on the original Board of Trustees of Potter Orphan and School. Bro. Maynard Meguiar, who served as an elder at the Portland Church of Christ was elected to the Board of Trustees in 1944. The following year he was elected as chairman of the board and served that position for 32 years. Bro. Talmadge Briley Jr., who serves as a deacon at the Portland Church of Christ, was a member of the board for 10 years.

The Portland Church of Christ has been supporting this organization for several years and is very proud of the works they accomplish.
