The Memphis School of Preaching is located in Germantown, Tennessee and was established in 1966. It is the oldest school of preaching east of the Mississippi River. The school sits on 15 acres and has state of the art facilities including a new residence hall with 32 three bedroom apartments and the new N.B. Hardeman Library.

The school offers a two year course of study that includes 2,960 class hours with transferable credit and a third year graduate course is also available along with classes for their wives. Students are provided with opportunities to preach while in school. The School does not charge a tuition fee but students are responsible for their own living expenses.

The school is under the direction of Curtis Cates and overseen by the elders of the Forest Hills Church of Christ in Memphis, Tennessee.

There are currently 38 men enrolled at the school and 4 of these men Allen Hornbuckle, Rick Owen, Carl Jenkins, and Jeremiah Myers are partially sponsored by the Portland Church of Christ.
